Ooh

1. What a weekend

To many, it’s a long weekend. But to me, it’s going to work daily. But wait. It’s more of a 3 day chalet. Haha. Weekend duties are fun. I did 3 days worth. Which makes it a total of umm.. 5 days off.

2. Scanner down

My scanner’s out of order. Error 155,0,0. And the net’s got no help on it. Shit, why do I always get the craving to do something which requires the use of any spoilt device? Like when I really wanted to check out some websites when my computer’s down. And when I really wanna make comics when my scanner is down. And when I really want to shoot a movie when my camera is down. But when everthing’s ok again, I just lose the interest. Right now, I can’t get my mind off the comic I’ve been wanting to do.

3. Thank You Russia!

Russia gave us the hot lesbian duo Tatu. And recently (at least for me), they’ve churned out another hot group, called Reflex. Yowzzzah!
Let the video speak for itself. Dunno why I can’t embed it here. But here’s the good stuff.

Reflex – Lyublyu
A slower song from the group. But watch till the end. All I can say is.. mmm,… body paint.

4. Conspiracy

Play cards often? We enjoy games like Taiti, Poker, Blackjack and what else people play on playing cards… but have we ever stopped to see what the cards mean? The face cards, namely the kings, queens and jacks… they have a story.

So far from my ‘research’, each king refers to a known and legendary king. King of Spades is King David, King of Diamond is Caesar (see the hand behind his back, suggesting the conspiracy to kill him), King of Clubs is Alexander and King of Hearts is King Charles of France.

The thing that sparked my interest in this matter is how my friend, who was performing his magic tricks, brought to our attention how the King of Hearts kill himself in every deck of cards. The sword was plunged into his head.

Scary.

5. Epic Movie Blows
It sucked. I’ve wanted to catch it in theaters, but thank goodness I did not. It sucked big time.
It wasted my time. Bloody unfunny crap.

Anyways, Ghost Rider tomorrow! Review up soon!

Last Field Works

I’m reaching the end of my NS days, and I’m trying to soak up as much experience I can while I still have time.

There was an operation for the reservist rescuers last saturday, and we’ve gotta go set up video coverage. Multiple viewpoints all over the training village were set up.

I’m lucky I was to set up the camera on the second storey just above the command post. It’s not as dark there. But some other guys got the chance to venture into the dark, and staying there for hours before the exercise begins. And it was freakin’ eerie there. All dilapidated ruins and all.

But come midnight, the place sprang to life with colourful lights from vehicles and blaring sirens, as well as screams for help and intense rescue work. I found it damn cool. Everything was deployed so quickly, it was like a scene from some epic movie.

Then, of course, there was the drama. But I’m just staying as a spectator. Nothing big went wrong, except for a few minor things. But all in all, it was a tiring and fun experience. Capturing some of the action on cam, I’m thinking of making a montage with the footage I’ve caught.

Me and the “iknow”

Cool broadcasting of live images to the makeshift command. My footage on the big screen!

Then, yesterday, I’d involve myself with the siren sounding on 15th Feb. I joined the siren guys to stay overnight with the portable. It was pretty fun, just slacking, talking cock, exploring around, telling ghost stories, and eating free food which ‘iknow” brought later on.

Then the next morning came, and the three drowsy fellas was met with the rest of the crew for the actual sounding. The first was at 9.30 am for the memorial service. And then we packed up the portable siren, which really isn’t portable at all, and moved to some secluded trailer park in Marina for the islandwide sounding.

All I can say is that there were some real heavy lifting. Damn tiring. But, all’s good. Coz’ I’m gonna get offs, offs and more offs. Which brings my clearing nearer.

Lots of cover duties next week, in the name of OFF!

Me and Afiq’s bike. I want Super4! See the portable under the tree?

Reloaded

I’ve been out of the net for almost a month now, and it’s such a relief to finally be back online.

I’d thought my hard disk crashed, and I wasn’t too pissed since I’ve already backed up most of my stuff. But it actually turned out to be the mainboard.

So, I’d just like to thank Sham, and my bro who introduced him to me. Anyone got PC problems, I’d seriously recommend this guy’s services. And thanks to Inkblot too for trying to fix up my comp. And thanks to those people I asked opinions of about this whole PC mess.

But no thanks to bad Mac users who enjoy seeing PC users suffer. Such evil.
