MotoGP ‘07 Race #8

I missed the actual race due to soccer. But luckily, there was a repeat on the next day and I couldn’t miss it a second time. I’ve started watching motoGP ever since I saw the ‘FASTER’ DVD. It was docu-drama featuring racers of motoGP in the 1998-2003 years.

It featured Rossi on the rise, and Biaggi’s rivalry. It’s very interesting.

Anyway, much has changed since then, and this year is the first time I’m following the races. Rossi’s gone from the Camel yellow to the Yamaha blue and white. Then there’s a surprising skillful newcomer, Casey Stoner, seen here leading the race with Rossi hot on his tail.

It was sad to see Rossi in the races so far… He has claimed that it is not the bike that makes the race, it is the rider. But sadly, he has, so far, failed to prove his point. Stoner rides a Ducati, one of the fastest ever, while Yamaha doesn’t quite boast speed as one of its forte.

Right now, Stoner leads the table. I hope July’s race is more interesting than today’s. Despite the wet weather, there wasn’t much competition action and very few crashes.
