James Earl Jones acted in many movies, and this video is a mashup of his lines from Coming to America (the one with Eddie Murphy). Extremely hilarious… A-HA!

Just got back, and I just got fined for parking at the void deck. This is fucked up. Really, fucked up. I went to check the other bike that was parked under the void deck earlier than me. There was no fine there.

This is my second offense. It’ll cost 200 bucks. I’m gonna appeal. If it didnt’ get through, I’m pretty much screwed. Gonna have to return the console. Just spent 200 plus on repairs the other day, and now this.

Doesn’t get worse than this.

I had missed the live telecast due to the exams, but I caught the repeat telecast of MotoGP Qatar later at night, after evading any smses or web feeds regarding the results. So to me, it was as good as live.

Everything was sparkling. It’s the first night race, much like how Singapore’s gonna hold the first F1 night race. The flood lights made everything sparkle and shine. Quite a breathtaking sight. And it’s even more breathtaking to see the new bikes, like Stoner’s new number 1 Ducati, and the highlight: Rossi and Lorenzo sharing the same uniform and bike, under yamaha.

I had hopes that Rossi’s poor performance last season was just a one time thing, and so when Rossi took the first position early in the race, I was enthralled! Then Lorenzo caught up to 2nd! I was freaking excited now… Two crazy ass riders leading the race. Both under the same team. The boring Stoner took 5th.

But as the events played out, Stoner slowly crept up to 1st and led. Lorenzo beat Rossi, and led a high speed chase on Stoner. Rossi now dangles in 3rd. Then Pedrosa pushed Rossi back to 4th.

But that’s not the worst for the 5 time world champ, as some new rookie began overtaking Rossi. He battled for 4th place and actually won Valentino Rossi. By now my thoughts were: Rossi’s reign has truly ended. Stoner’s taken over the throne. And the only contender worth watching out for is the crazy spanish dude Lorenzo, who I must say, reminds me a lot of Rossi himself.

Jorge Lorenzo. Amazing debut, getting 2nd place on his first MotoGP race.

All that’s left to watch now is Lorenzo, the champion of the 250cc fighting Stoner, the champion of the previous season’s MotoGP.

The only good thing about Stoner winning the race is that we get to see more of his wife, Adriana.

I don’t know why, I’ve been having quite a number of nightmares lately. Scary ones, where you don’t know if it’s real life or a dream.

Usually, I’ll forget about them after waking up. All I know is that they’re really cool (although freakin’ scary when I’m experiencing it)…. but last night, after falling asleep reading notes, I had another one, where this black figure was chasing me. “It” caught up to me and this weird shitty feeling came over me. Then I woke up.

I quickly took my pen and on my notes, I scribbled a rough sketch of the monster.

Photoshopped the background abit, so that it won’t look like it’s drawn on lecture notes.

RIFT is complete. The demo, that is. And everything went well. This is actually a very long overdue post.

The presentation was pretty good. And I guess we’re all pretty darn proud of ourselves for pulling through on such a short time.

We can’t make the game playable for all, coz the game engine we’re using is a bloody trial version, which doesn’t allow us to compile the game into an executable. So, to play it, you’ve gotta install the damn engine and run it from there.

But no worries, I’m thinking of putting up an in-game video montage. When? I don’t know. Probably after my exams.. which is coming in 4 days time!

Speaking of the exams, I really have no mood to study. This semester had been extremely fun, challenging and taxing. With all the heavy duty assignments completed, I really can’t find the motivation to ’study’ the very logical/common-sensical subjects of game development and 3d modelling. Well, not 3d modelling, but how the hell are they gonna test that kinda subject on paper?

Today, I went for a wedding, a friend from JC’s. The other day, I went to my NS friend’s wedding. Tomorrow, another JC friend’s wedding. A lot of people getting married around me. Everyone’s moving on with further chapters of their lives. Cool.

Right then, some more RIFT stuff.

Looking forward to the holidays, hope to get some paying assignments.

Oh ya, forgot to talk about my poor scooter. Hmm.. lazy. Maybe next time.

I’ve told so many people about this monster, and being the poor story teller that I am, they ended up laughing at me when I do the actions while describing the monster.

So here, watch it for yourselves, if you hadn’t watched the movie, Pan’s Labyrinth.

It’s not too scary, after all, it’s just a fairy tale.

*Why I chose to show this now is coz I wanted to watch the Nightwish concert I had on DVD. So, after searching for it, I found that it's on the same disc as Pan's Labyrinth. Therefore, I was reminded of this monster. Heh.

You know what? Screw everything else… Nightwish (with Tarja) is the best, and nothing beats it.

This is the best rendition of the song, Phantom of the Opera.
I was introduced to this song in sec 2 by my music teacher. It was the original classical version. But Nightwish’s take on it… really captures it. The best i tells ya. The best.
