Exams are upon me again. As of today, it’s 2 weeks to Exams. But we’ve still got assignments and projects to finish. The future looks dark this time round.

Amidst all this exam/assignment crap, I’m surrounded by people who have finished their exams, and probably their school lives. Argh! The agony. Every single plan turned down, every single outing sat out, every single chill session left out… Damn. *insert vulgarities*. Damn.

Can’t wait to get this semester over and done with, it being the last semester with exams and all. Next sem: FYP! More viral marketing to come. Meanwhile these two weeks are gonna be shitty.

Just got back, and I just got fined for parking at the void deck. This is fucked up. Really, fucked up. I went to check the other bike that was parked under the void deck earlier than me. There was no fine there.

This is my second offense. It’ll cost 200 bucks. I’m gonna appeal. If it didnt’ get through, I’m pretty much screwed. Gonna have to return the console. Just spent 200 plus on repairs the other day, and now this.

Doesn’t get worse than this.

what’s up with this dumb show?! It’s the dumbest show with the greediest, dumbest people around. How come only dumb people get to be on shows like these? Shows that give away money like water.

They’ve come back for a second season. You know why?

The producers, after reviewing the first season, said to themselves, “Hey! These contestants are really stupid! They make ridiculous gestures with their hands,. They throw away money given to them to gamble for a bigger value, and they usually lose. They’ve obviously not heard the phrase ‘quit while you’re ahead’. They have dumber relatives to push them to gamble the money and lose BIG! It’s great! No wonder we still have so much money to give away. Let’s roll in the second season for more dumbasses to play in!”

And what’s with Channel 5 labelling every single movie TV PREMIERE!? Like it’s some kind of big hit blockbuster movie released a few months ago. But in fact, most movies featured are extremely old already. I’m talking 2 years or more old. And what’s worse is that they have the cheek to label screwed up B grade movies with the TV premiere bullshit. Yeah, I’m talking about lame ass titles like : Crocodiles!, or Air Panic!, or Spiders!

Movies like these consist of bad acting from bad actors and are a waste of what little money spent making them.

The only reason they are ‘premiering on TV’ is because they couldn’t make it to theaters, or even home videos. And here we have good old channel 5 announcing with such gusto, “TV premiere!”.

Pathetic.

b-grade movies

As mentioned earlier, B grade movies now litter the prime time of Channel 5. And I’ve noticed, Monday Night Movie is also known as Lame Ass Movie Night.

Shit-filled movies, sometimes with the false pretense of “TV Premiere!”, will crawl their way into prime time channel 5, every Monday night. Sometimes they appear on Saturday nights.

Well, I could understand if they come on Saturday nights. Coz’ that’s the time where people are ‘expected’ to go out and have fun. But to have it on Mondays!? That’s the time where people experience ‘Monday Blues’ and wanna go home to watch some good TV to take their mind off the shitty work/life they’re having. At least, typically, that’s what happens on Monday nights. But then they get treated to a bucket full of shit splattered all over their TV screen.

80’s series/sitcoms

I have irregular school hours and as such, I sometimes find myself tuning in to watch TV at odd day times like say… 10 am. Last time, they had lifestyle shows, food programs, travel programs lined up at those day time slots. Good day time TV. But now, all of a sudden, I found myself watching extremely lame 80s series.

If the series was a popular one, I don’t mind. Coz then it’ll bring back memories of good ol’ 80s. But these shows, I’ve never heard of. And the lame screwed up opening intro montages make me wanna puke.

Well, except one. I watched a comedy when I was little. It’s called Perfect Strangers. It was pretty funny back then. But now, I find it extremely lame. I don’t mind it that much, coz I remembered liking it.

I realised that Singapore comedy is still stuck at that lame level. They gotta break out of that shell man…

Ah yes… Local comedy. Usually they take up prime time too. With the exception of Maggie and Me (Fiona Xie… hmmmmm), other local comedies just plain suck.

They just don’t not make me laugh. They really pissed me off. Just how lame can people get!?

I thought new shows like Noose and 80s Rewind would breathe new life to local sitcoms/comedy, but sadly, it’s just more lame stew.

Like I said before, Singapore comedy was stuck at the lame 80s standard. I used to laugh at Gurmit’s World, or Phua Chu Kang and even Under One Roof when they first came out in the 90s. It was funny back then, and fresh too. But over the years, they just didn’t get better.

With excruciatingly funny comedies coming from the rest of the world, local shows just don’t seem too interested to compete for viewership.

With stuff like these, taking a break by watching TV had become an eye sore.

Yet another entry for the Fucked Up category.

Today I woke up with great optimism, and I had so many things in mind to do. I planned to settle my bike matters, collect my video camera, visit the library and do something about the website.

So I started off, after the morning routine *ahem*, to settle my insurance renewal, spark plug change, and road tax renewal.

And the fucked up chain begins.

When I reached the bikeshop, there were as usual, a long line of bikes waiting to service. So I passed the idea of a spark plug change. Then I went up to their office to renew insurance.

The insurance prices went up a lot w.e.f January the 1st. Great. I missed out. Nevermind that, the computer was problematic, and so I had to wait a bloody hour just to settle the insurance, during which I could’ve done maintenance to the bike. But I didn’t. I sat there and wasted my time. Finally the pricey policy was done. And I happily threw away my old insurance, failing to realise that the expiry date has not arrived yet.

I headed down to Vicom, to pay road tax. And after another long queue, the counter-person told me she needed the old insurance cert since the date is not in effect yet. I told her I threw it away.

I had to ride back to the shop, pretend to do something else, and dig the bin and luckily, I found the paper. I wanted to settle the tax there, but they said there’ll be a 2 day wait. What crap! I got pissed off, but the kind (and hot) lady told me that I can do it at the post office. So happily, I rode to good ol’ Bedok Post Office. And the queue was super long, all the way till outside.

So screw it all.

Oh, before that, I went to Denki to collect my camera, which now works. Yay. So happy. Looking forward to using it for the chalet coming up next weekend.

So all in all, it’s been a fucked up afternoon.

No comic lah. Fuck it.

I went for the operation on Wednesday, thinking that I’ll be saying goodbye to NS for good. Then, it was an ‘good and bad’ turn of events that followed.

First off, after the op, I found out that it wasn’t my meniscus which was torn, it was part of my ligament which was dislodged. So that settled, the doc said recovery should be speedy and gave me a stinkin’ 3 weeks MC. It was supposed to be 6 weeks.

So it’s good that it’ll recover fast. But it’s not too good to be returning to work before the start of 2007. Fuck.

And here I was, imagining a triumphant return and smiling at them post 96th intakers, and doing the ninja arts, the best ever… But I guess all that might not be a reality.

I just hope I can extend the freaking MC.

Meanwhile. I am in LOVE with MUSE again. My chemical Romance ain’t too bad too.
I got their new albums. Yeah.

I’ve done something really stupid, and lost 120 bucks in the process. The only benifit, if I even consider it as one, is that I’ve done a Bedok-Jurong trip twice over. Which prettymuch boosts my riding confidence.

Stuff ain’t that great with me right now, in terms of material goods. And I still have not decided where to go from here, academically or in terms of career.

Ain’t too good physically either. I miss fasting month, and how good I felt back then. Left leg’s still painful, despite what the therapist told me. Right leg’s gonna go kaput soon enough. And I’m back to pre NS days, which is the most fucked up feeling.

There be more fucked up things in my life right now, and certain losses which I just couldn’t put to words. Been trying to look at the bright side, like: end of NS, slack job as admin, time given (due to my op) and what to do to make the most out of it. And somehow, all those are always overshadowed by all the messed up shit in my life.

The sad song from 1 litre no namida ain’t helping either. Feelin’ so helpless.

So I got myself an MC which lasts two days, as planned. But the Spiderman is making a fuss out of it. Haha. Very funny.

Someone who takes MC every single day, changing clinics every few days, not showing up for work and endorsing only after the MC gets so thick, can get away with it. And I can’t? Screw you, motherfucker.

You know what, I think I’ll just disappear earlier. Screw the last remaining days. I have a ‘feeling’, that my knee gave way while I was riding, and I couldn’t lock it! oh NO! Then I’ll be going for a long MC till my operation, which will extend another 6 weeks, and that in turn will extend to another month. Which leaves me enough remaining days to clear my offs and leaves. SO SCREW YOU!
