The Presentation
The presentation is over. FYP is over. School’s over.
It went pretty well, I think. We were the second team to go up, right after the RPG team. Being one of the earlier teams to present has its advantages; ie, the accessors & supervisors are still fresh and looking forward to seeing the students’ work. Unlike later teams, who said that the audience look bored with their presentations, even though their games look really interesting.
Wow Safari was quite a success. I’m glad to have made it through. The other teams seem to have done well too. The only thing that sucks was we can’t watch each other’s presentation. We only saw each others’ games after. But I still haven’t seen the PSP, RTS and XBOX games.
I went around looking at other students’ games and asked for their websites. Some website links to the games built over the 2 months:
- Role Playing Game
- Racing
- Real Time Strategy
- Nintendo DS
- Your’s Truly, Safari Simulation
I don’t know the PSP and XBOX game websites. But their games look wickedly good, packaging and all.
The Wow Safari website has been updated. You can watch our presentation video there. I’ll be uploading a higher resolution one to youtube soon.
After the presentations, I was talking to my previous group, and I’m happy that they still have the dream to take RIFT to higher grounds. I’m all for it. That’s one game I’m really proud to be part of.
Come to think of it, RIFT doesn’t have a website. I’ll make one, soon.
So, that’s it for SIM, school, ridiculous fees, crappy admin, slack lecturers, nonsensical exam, irregular hours and short deadlines. Glad it’s all over. It’s been quite a ride.
I could still remember my first day in school, where I trudged on after skidding off the expressway, bleeding leg and all. Sigh… memories…
