Batman Trailer Goodies II
The second trailer had been out for quite some time now. But I wanted to wait for the hi-res version to be online before I start to watch it for clues and interesting stuff.
Let’s jump right in…

Batman overlooking the city, helmet in his arms. No cape.

Closer shot, he’s got no cape for this jump!

Finally spelunking eh?

Split second frame. Look who’s in the car that Batman jumped right on! Looks like someone familiar eh? Scarecrow returns! Or I could be wrong…

I also noticed that Joker has a habit of licking his lips often. As can be seen here.

Is that money Joker’s burning? The psycho don’t give a shit about money then…

The tank of gasoline/fuel. What’s it for?

Later on you see Harvey Dent’s face pushed down into it. I could only assume that somehow the liquid caught fire and erodes Dent’s face away.

Joker pushes/lets go of Dawes from a high storey window. Probably when he crashed Wayne’s charity ball.

The very famous screencap that shows hints of Two Face. Note the jacket’s left side, which is similar to the concept shot in the previous entry. So I guess that’s confirmed authentic.

“This city deserves a better class of criminals, and I’m gonna give it to ‘em. You’ll see, I’ll show you…” Who is Joker talking to in this bit? I’m pretty sure he’s face to face with Batman. As can be seen by this released image.

And later on, you can see Batman smashing Joker into the wall of the interrogation room.
I can’t bloody wait.

Batman Trailer Goodies
I’ve been meaning to do this ever since the hi def trailer was released. It might be a bit late, but I just wanna point out some goodies I’ve spotted after geekishly forwarding and rewinding the trailer frame by frame.
So, in random order, here they are.

The first thing is this scene before it zooms in to Bruce Wayne sitting on the chair. You can see his armguard thing from the batsuit lying on the floor. *pointed out by Joe Kool.

Then, it zooms in to Wayne, and you can see that he’s in the batsuit, looking at his cowl. I heard and read somewhere that this isn’t even in Gotham City. Hong Kong maybe?

Batman overlooking the city. At this angle, that new armourish suit doesn’t look that bad.

Joker in the police car. Notice that the car is swerving around, even though it’s a straight road. Something must’ve happened to the cops driving the car. And if I can remember, the driver seat is on the left, but looks like it’s empty eh?

I think this might JUST be the modified batcave. Reminds me of the Matrix virtual armory. See the elevator-like thing right in the middle? If it is the batcave, it’s a little too bright isn’t it?

Before the scene where the batsignal got smashed, there was a split second showing who’s responsible for smashing it with an axe. Looks a hell lot like commissioner Gordon eh?

I thought they didn’t put Two Face anywhere in the trailer, but hey, look who’s circled in the picture above. It’s Harvey Dent!

Check it out! It’s Alfred! He got a “oh bugger” look on his face as Joker comes in to crash the party.

Joker is clapping his hands in prison. Ooooh how very psychotic! Look at the sharp, black fingernails.

A shot of the batpod firing a shot into some debris to clear the path.

The scene where Joker is in jail. He’s put in isolation. No one else in the cell but him. And he seem to be taunting the cops, the way he’s sitting and looking at them.

This is the bat signal being destroyed by Commissioner Gordon. Wait, is he commissioner already? Last we saw, he was a lieutenant. Hmmm….

Joker at his psychotic greatness again.

And yes, there’s a Starbucks in Gotham also, even with its corruption and all.

The batpod rolling.

This scene is awesome. Somehow it reminded me of the scene in Tim Burton’s Batman where Batman flew his plane down and tries to shoot Joker while Joker simply stood there unmoved. This time, Batman’s on the batpod.
I shouldn’t have written this when I’m this sleepy. Could’ve made more observations, but if I don’t write this now, I’ll probably not write it at all.
Ok, that’s it, I guess. I can’t wait for more goodies and the movie itself. More entries to come. Stay tuned.

Plug-in Baby
My guitar’s been collecting dust for over a few months now. The last jam with Meatz & Loba2 was way before fasting month.
But on Deepavali, we met up for a really blast-to-the-max, release-the-fury, extreme 3 hr jam session!
It was awesome, I couldn’t remember when was the last time I cranked up the amps & effects to that level of loudness. My ears weren’t ringing at the end of it, but hell, it was loud while it lasted.
Then, Meatz lent me his Zoom 707ii multi-efx for trials before I decide to buy it. Yeah, I’ve been thinking of buying some sort of distortion/metalzone/overdrive effect pedal for a very long time. I’m probably gonna get this.
Anyways, the gadget was bloody awesome! I didn’t really get a chance to play with it at the sessions, and the only time I really explored its functions and sounds was when I got home to play with it. And all I can say is… it’s renewed my love for the guitar. It was the same feeling when I first bought my ‘Fina’ accoustic, and the same feeling when I bought the ‘Orient’ electric guitar & ‘Marshall’ amp. Because, those were the times when my passion for the instrument was renewed.
I played & played till my fingers hurt, and I kept thinking about it all the way through class just now, and I came home and played some more till the batteries went dead. Gotta get new batts tomorrow.
Well, that’s the musical side of me.
At school, the first assignment of Comp Gfx had been released. We’re supposed to build a kitchen… from scratch! A full, 3 dimensional, fully lighted, shaded, rendered, textured kitchen that’s navigable.
Honestly, I think it’s a huge leap from what we’ve been doing with OpenGL, but it seems really interesting. It’s really a wonder how you can do something really well when it’s something you like doing, even though it’s hard.
I have a good feeling about this semester. I hope it continues throughout.
Oh oh oh! And I finally caught up with Avatar! I’ll write a whole post on that later.
A note-worthy movie coming out next year, among all the superhero blockbusters, is one called Valkyrie. It’s about a group of German generals plotting to overthrow Hitler (or kill him?) at the height of Germany’s success in its world war 2 campaign. Watch the trailer here. It looks pretty cool. Stars Tom Cruise, and directed by Bryan Singer.
I wonder why they all don’t speak with German accent though? yar? Achtung.
